TIOP tender – 30.07.2010.

Mezőkövesd Town Library joint with the Felsőzsolca General Cultural Centre’s Library has won 8 million HUF with the tender ‘ Knowledge Depot – Express’ announced by the National Development Agency. The Social Renewal Operational Program (TIOP 3.2.4/08/1) is aimed at coordinating development of infrastructure of library services. The tender is titled: ‘ Coordinated and IT infrastructure development in libraries of Felsőzsolca and Mezőkövesd’.

From the 4 million HUF Mezőkövesd Library received, the following assets have been purchased:

• screen-reader device for visually impaired readers – provide self-help library
• 10 work stations with Windows 7 operating system and Microsoft office 2010 software package, of which 5 pieces are for the readers, 2 pieces for reader service work, and 3 for office adminsitrative work will be used.
• 1 multi-media computer with Windows 7 operating system and Microsoft office 2010 software package which are competent to execute image editing tasks and digitizing.
• A4 Colour Laser Printer
• Projector and presenter for lectures
• A4 Graphics Board
• Our internal computer network has been developed and expedited (new router, switch)

All these new tools are available to serve our readers.
